Intersections: A Journal of Literary and Cultural Studies is an interdisciplinary academic journal encouraging new research in literature and cultural studies. Published by the Department of English, Kidderpore College, it offers an interactive forum for critical discourses.
Vision
Intersections attempts to catalyse explorations into multilayered intersectional experiences. In an increasingly complex, polarised, and divisive world, it hopes to initiate dialogues that often remain beyond the purview of canonical enquiries. This journal is designed to focus on those interstitial spaces, those junctures where literature and life converge.
Through close engagements with texts that foster inclusivity, we shall push the borders and redefine the boundaries of interpretation.
Scope
Intersections is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open access, online academic journal published annually. It invites original, unpublished, and well-researched articles in the English language. The journal aims to provide a platform to facilitate the exchange of thoughts among academics, educators, independent researchers, research scholars, and students. It focuses on scholarly studies that investigate the multidimensionality of literary and cultural practices.
We intend to publish articles related to literary studies, cultural studies, history and politics, film studies, liberal and performative arts, philosophical inquisitions, sociological debates, and gender studies.
